The INSS project was funded in 2012 by the National Science Foundation’s (NSF) Science, Engineering and Education for Sustainability (SEES) Research Coordination Networks (RCN) program.
The intent of the project is to create a viable and useful distributed network of practitioners, academics, and others engaged with social sustainability, or the social aspects of sustainability. These would include environmental justice, equitable access to resources, social understandings of the environment and sustainability, and issues of labor, satisfaction, and equity related to sustainable development.
The project webpage has more information about our work, and we encourage you to join the conversation.
More information on NSF’s SEES RCN program is here, and our project abstract is here.
