\"Ahmed<\/a>Ahmed Arif is a Professor of Epidemiology and director of the Ph.D. programs in Epidemiology<\/a> and Public\u00a0Health Sciences<\/a> in the Department of Epidemiology and Community Health<\/a>.\u00a0 He has a Ph.D. in epidemiology from the University of Texas, School of Public Health at Houston.\u00a0 Ahmed’s research area of expertise is occupational and environmental epidemiology. His current research interests include studying occupational risk factors of mental illnesses, occupational lung diseases, rare and orphan diseases, and spatial epidemiology.\u00a0 His research has been funded by NIH, NIOSH, and HRSA.<\/div>\n
