Equitable Actuarial Scholarship:<\/strong><\/span><\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>The annual Equitable Actuarial Scholarship was established by Equitable Actuarial Department in 2025 to offer undergraduate and graduate students at UNC Charlotte financial support to sit for actuarial exams, aiding their pursuit of an actuarial career with any future employer. Applicants need to have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and have completed at least one actuarial course. The Equitable Actuarial Scholarship will provide each award recipient with up to $1,000 after passing the exam ($500 for registration and $500 for passing the exam on the first attempt). Students are eligible to receive the scholarship more than once, but not in the same calendar year and not for the same exam. Principal Financial Group Actuarial Scholarship:<\/strong><\/span><\/h6>\n<p>The annual Principal Actuarial Scholarship &#8211; Iowa was established in 2022 to sponsor a Charlotte student enrolled in the actuarial program and sitting for the actuarial exams. A reward of $250 is offered by Principal to assist a student interested in the actuarial field and preparing for an actuarial exam soon. The application deadline is February 15, 2023. Applicants need to fulfill the following requirements: Full-time student at Charlotte in the upcoming academic year, A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.6 or higher, Working on a Math or a Math for Business Degree with a Concentration in Actuarial Science, Currently enrolled or already took Math 3228. Robert Anderson Scholarship:<\/strong><\/span><\/h6>\n<p>The Robert Anderson Scholarship was established to recognize the remarkably positive impact Bob had on his students and on the actuarial science program at UNC Charlotte. It is funded by alumni of the program.\u00a0Applicants must fulfill the following requirements:\u00a0Full-time student in the upcoming fall semester with a minimum <span style=\"color: #000000\">cumulative<\/span> GPA of 3.3 or higher,\u00a0\u00a0Working on a Math Degree or a Math for Business Degree with a Concentration in Actuarial Science, Currently enrolled in or already took Math 3228: Actuarial Science IB, Interested in passing actuarial exams. The $500 award will be posted to the student&#8217;s account and the application deadline is April 15. The purpose of the fund is to provide an annual, non-renewable scholarship to a Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Mathematics with a Statistics Concentration, or Mathematics with an Actuarial Concentration. DW Simpson Actuarial Science Scholarship:<\/strong><\/span><\/h6>\n<p>DW Simpson is pleased to offer a $1,000 scholarship to the actuarial science students at UNC Charlotte.\u00a0\u00a0Following is a brief description of the requirements we would like the applicants for the scholarship to possess:\u00a0\u00a0Student should be entering his\/her senior year of undergraduate study in Actuarial Science, GPA of 3.4 or better in Actuarial Science and an overall GPA of 3.0 or better, Passage of at least one Actuarial Exam, Eligibility to work in the United States.
