The annual Equitable Actuarial Scholarship was established by Equitable Actuarial Department in 2025 to offer undergraduate and graduate students at UNC Charlotte financial support to sit for actuarial exams, aiding their pursuit of an actuarial career with any future employer. Applicants need to have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and have completed at least one actuarial course. The Equitable Actuarial Scholarship will provide each award recipient with up to $1,000 after passing the exam ($500 for registration and $500 for passing the exam on the first attempt). Students are eligible to receive the scholarship more than once, but not in the same calendar year and not for the same exam. The application opens in August and is due October 15. \u00a0Up to 10 students are selected each year.<\/p>\n

The annual Principal Actuarial Scholarship – Iowa was established in 2022 to sponsor a Charlotte student enrolled in the actuarial program and sitting for the actuarial exams. A reward of $250 is offered by Principal to assist a student interested in the actuarial field and preparing for an actuarial exam soon. The application deadline is February 15, 2023. Applicants need to fulfill the following requirements: Full-time student at Charlotte in the upcoming academic year, A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.6 or higher, Working on a Math or a Math for Business Degree with a Concentration in Actuarial Science, Currently enrolled or already took Math 3228. The Robert Anderson Scholarship was established to recognize the remarkably positive impact Bob had on his students and on the actuarial science program at UNC Charlotte.
