
{"id":278,"date":"2012-08-24T00:35:14","date_gmt":"2012-08-24T05:35:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pages.charlotte.edu\/mesas\/?p=278"},"modified":"2012-12-10T21:52:48","modified_gmt":"2012-12-11T02:52:48","slug":"changes-to-global-environmental-change-webpage","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pages.charlotte.edu\/brian-magi\/2012\/08\/24\/changes-to-global-environmental-change-webpage\/","title":{"rendered":"Changes to Global Environmental Change webpage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>just a few notes about the changes to my teaching webpage for my <a href=\"http:\/\/pages.charlotte.edu\/mesas\/teaching\/global-environmental-change\/\" title=\"Global Environmental Change (ESCI 3101)\" target=\"_blank\">Global Environmental Change<\/a> (ESCI 3000 this semester &#8211; Fall 2012, expected to be ESCI 3101 by Fall 2013) webpage.  i updated just about everything there so the interface would be more useful for students, but there are many links to climate-related internet sources for discussion, books, visualizations, and of course DATA related to climate science.  i will point out that the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncdc.noaa.gov\/sotc\/\" title=\"SOTC\" target=\"_blank\">NCDC<\/a> websites and the <a href=\"http:\/\/cmip-pcmdi.llnl.gov\/cmip5\/index.html\" title=\"CMIP5\" target=\"_blank\">CMIP5<\/a> websites are especially useful.  CMIP5 is family of model experiments that will support <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ipcc.ch\/\" title=\"IPCC\" target=\"_blank\">IPCC AR5<\/a> which is being written and revised this year and expected to be published sometime in 2013.
