Dr. Russell joined the Belk College faculty in 2005 after several years as an adjunct professor. His most recent practical experience has been with the investment banking arm of Bank of America, where he conducted internal and external training courses on products and trading techniques including Credit Derivatives, Debt Products, Capital Structure, and Relative Value trades. Prior to the training role, he was the Sr. Industry Analyst covering the heavy building materials sector at NationsBank/Bank of America. Dr. Russell’s teaching background covers most topics in finance including, International Finance, Corporate Finance, Investment, Financial Institutions and Markets, Derivatives-Financial Risk Management, and the Student Managed Investment Fund.He serves as the Education Chair and member of the Board of Directors for the North Carolina CFA Society and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
