Laurel Yohe

I am interested in the interface of morphological and genetic evolution, developing creative computational and statistical methods to studying complex regions of the genome and how these relate to the diversity of structure and function observed across the Tree of Life. I  received my dual BS in Bioinformatics and Biology from Loyola University Chicago. After completing a Fulbright fellowship in Vietnam for bird conservation research, I obtained my PhD from Stony Brook University investigating the molecular evolution of the sense of smell in bats. I completed my NSF Postdoctoral Fellow at Yale University investigating the developmental basis of chemosensation in tetrapods.
