Cem Saydam joined the Belk College faculty in 1986. He has done extensive research in ambulance location and redeployment strategies, applied linear and integer programming, and optimization techniques. His papers have appeared in numerous professional journals, including Decision Sciences, Annals of Operations Research, Journal of Operations Management, and European Journal of Operational Research. Dr. Saydam’s teaching interests are in operations management, decision modeling and analysis, and simulation. Before coming to UNC Charlotte, he taught at Appalachian State and Clemson universities. Dr. Saydam previously served as chair of the BISOM Department. Dr. Saydam is an affiliate faculty member with the Doctorate in Administration program.
