Suzanne Sevin joined the Belk College faculty in August 2001. She earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Southeastern Louisiana University and a M.B.A. from the University of New Orleans. Before entering the doctoral program at the University of Georgia, she gained professional experience as an accountant and financial analyst for two oil and gas companies, and as a vice-president responsible for origination and portfolio management at an oil and gas investment firm. Professor Sevin is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Financial Analyst candidate. Her primary teaching interests are in the areas of financial and managerial accounting, and her research interests include financial accounting and capital markets. She is a member of the American Accounting Association and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
