About Dr. Pinckney

Dr. Charles Pinckney
Dr. Charles Pinckney is a lecturer, speaker, consultant, and educator. He is Co-Founder and President of the Educational Research Group, a public health educational research -based consulting firm whose mission is to provide innovative research, communication strategies, logistical marketing solutions and program development aimed at advancing human health and knowledge. Dr. Pinckney has been on faculty at UNCC since 2008.

Dr. Pinckney dissertation topic was entitled: “The Influence of Hip-Hop Culture on the Perceptions, Attitudes, Values, and Lifestyles of African-American College Students. Dr. Pinckney’s research interest includes: Adolescent Domestic Violence, The Impact and Influence of Hip-Hop Culture on Rural African-American Adolescents, Public Policy and Hip-Hop Culture and The Mass Media, Domestic Violence, HIV/AIDS and African American Adolescents.
