Objective:\u00a0\u00a0This course will offer graduate students from various disciplines a conceptual and practical foundation in the study of disease epidemiology. Students are expected to understand the mechanisms, patterns, and dynamics of disease spread and persistence at the global and local scales. They will gain knowledge of the complex life cycles of pathogens, interactions of infectious agents and vectors, public health impacts on humans, and more importantly, how genomic tools help tackle some of the challenges in the field.<\/span><\/h6>\n
