Profile

Austin Barbee is a grad student in the Master’s in Geography with a concentration in GIS&T. He graduated from UNC Charlotte in May 2024 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Crime Analytics. He was first introduced to GIS in the form of crime mapping but has since expanded his interest range to remote sensing and planimetry. Austin grew up in Boy Scouts and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, which heavily influenced his interest in both mapping and conservation.
