Carter Mayhew

Research Interests:

remote sensing, conservation, sustainability, machine learning

Profile:

Carter Mayhew is a grad student in the masters in Geography program. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Natural Resource Management at Catawba College in 2025. In his time in undergrad he completed field work for The National Forest Service and helped create wildlife connectivity models for The World Wildlife Fund. Carter is an Eagle Scout and attributes his interest in natural resources to his time spent in Boy Scouts. at UNC Charlotte he hopes to research how remote sensing can serve conservation and sustainability.
