Did you know that UNC Charlotte has a study abroad program especially designed for our History Majors? The History in Heidelberg Program is geared towards giving our History Majors and Minors their own individual learning experience in Heidelberg, Germany.
Located in a thriving and beautiful city in Southwestern Germany with a historic medieval core, the University of Heidelberg, founded in 1386, is one of Germany’s top institutions and is an ideal base for a European stay.
Students can choose to study in Heidelberg for the Spring semester (Feb-July) or a full academic year. Students can take classes in either English or German and Heidelberg University provides up to 6 credit hours of intensive German-language training before the beginning of each term. Housing assistance is also available. Students pay their typical tuition fees directly to UNCC, and are responsible for funding their own travel, room, and board. You may apply your financial aid to study abroad.
