Two lectures by pioneering genocide scholar Adam Jones: “Denying Rwanda: Genocide and Genocide Denial in the 21st Century” and “Gender and Genocide.”
Adam Jones is a political scientist, writer, and photojournalist based at the University of British Columbia. He is executive director of the nongovernmental organization Gendercide Watch. He was chosen as one of “50 Key Thinkers on the Holocaust and Genocide” for the book of that name.
Dr. Jones is best known for his work in comparative genocide studies and his pioneering analyses of gender within genocidal violence. He is author of the leading textbook in the field, Genocide: A Comprehensive Introduction, and author or editor of numerous other works on violence and crimes against humanity, most recently The Scourge of Genocide: Essays and Reflections (Routledge, 2013).
