\nDr. Hilger founded the University\u2019s IDEAS Center (Infrastructure, Design, Environment and Sustainability) and directed it until her retirement in July 2012. She founded and was the first chair of the national ASCE\u2019s (American Society of Civil Engineers\u2019) Environmental and Water Resources Institute Sustainable Engineering Committee.<\/div>\n
