Research

My research focuses on how stress and individual differences influence health, both mental and physical.

The StressWAVES Biobehavioral Research Lab was established in 2013.

We emphasize study designs that utilize physiological assessment in tandem with self-report mood or behavioral questionnaires, task manipulations, and sociodemographics and life experiences surveys.  Our physiological tools enable us to examine the activity of the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems, hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis, immune system, and metabolism. Therefore, we investigate whole person health.

Our research utilizes the Biobehavioral Core (BBC) Lab, a shared lab facility within the Department of Psychological Science.

For most updated research projects, please visit the StressWAVES BRL’s website.
