This research provides follow-up data to the 2005 paper.

This research offers an alternative hypothesis to explain the field relationships described in the above papers.

Application Deadline February 15, 2010.

All interested students should send items 1-3 below in a single email as attachments and/or text to Dr. Martha Cary Eppes at UNC CHarlotte meppes@uncc.edu with the subject heading “REU Application”.

Students should also arrange for one letter of reccomendation (see below) to be sent to Dr. Eppes via email.

1) Contact information including Name, Address, Phone, Email

2) Official OR unnoficial transcripts covering your college coursework. You may scan in copies or download from your university’s online systems.

3) 500-750 word cover letter explaining your background as it pertains to this project, your career and/or academic goals and why you are interested in this project.

4) Letter of reccomendation. Please provide your reccomender with a link to this REU site and ask that they send a letter of reccomendation to Dr. Eppes (meppes@uncc.edu) which addresses your background and/or capabilities as they might pertain to this project.
