STUDENTS SUPERVISED
From 1966 until 1990, every single year I had 3-5 students doing their Master’s thesis in MSU under my supervision. I estimate the total to be about 100. The best (around 25% of all) normally became my post-graduate students, i.e., doctorate students (or aspirants in Russian). The total number of doctorate students who received Ph.D. degrees from MSU under my supervision is 36, with two of them later receiving their Doctor of Sciences degree Ph.D II.
Fifteen of my students received Ph.D degrees from UNC Charlotte: X. Chen, A. Malakhov, Abbas Al Hakim, Jason Holt, Nicola Squartini, Mohammed Reza, Joseph Whitmeyer, Yakin Feng, Hao Zhang, Perry Gillespy, Elijah Ray, Yanjmaa Jutmaan, Lukun Zheng, Nezihe Turhan, Huseyin Erturk, Dan Han, Thomas Cook, and Julia Simonsen.
