Plans are underway for our 2012 conference.\u00a0 Notifications about panel presentations will be sent out by July 1, 2012<\/strong>.\u00a0 Below you will find other pertinent information.<\/p>\n

Now that abstracts are in, please note that you need to confirm that you will present by August 1, 2012<\/strong>.\u00a0 Email. Jeffrey Leak at jleak@uncc.edu.\u00a0 Shortly after confirming presenters, we will finalize the program schedule.\u00a0 Unless otherwise indicated, each presenter will have twenty minutes. We will post further information regarding power point presentations.<\/p>\n

The deadline for registration is September 1, 2012<\/strong>.\u00a0 Additional information is forthcoming.<\/p>\n

As part of our grant from the North Carolina Humanities Council and the Chancellor’s Diversity Challenge Fund at UNC Charlotte, we will have featured presentations by: Manfred Berg, Fitzhugh Brundage, Claude Clegg and Amy Wood.\u00a0 We are excited about upcoming events and look forward to your participation in the conference.\u00a0 We will update the site frequently.\u00a0 Stay tuned.<\/p>\n

Hotel Accomodations<\/strong><\/p>\n

There are several hotels located near the Center City Campus.\u00a0 But we have reserved a block of rooms at the Holiday Inn (www.hicharlotte.com).\u00a0 When making your reservation, identify yourself as a member of UNC Charlotte Holiday Inn Center City.\u00a0 The rate is $109 per night, and this rate will expire on September 11, 2012.\u00a0 There is also complimentary shuttle service from the hotel to the Center City Campus.<\/p>\n

Transportation<\/strong><\/p>\n
