Graduate Students
Emily Rosado, M.A.
Emily is a first year student in the Clinical Health Psychology PhD program. She is from Cincinnati and received her bachelor’s in psychology/pre-medical sciences from Miami University (OH). She worked as a nurse’s aide for a year before moving to Boston to pursue a master’s in psychology at Boston University. She discovered an interest in studying pain psychology through two years she spent working as a research assistant at a hospital in Boston, where she was the lead RA on a study that worked with surgical patients. Her research interests encompass the biopsychosocial model of pain, specifically looking at factors that may influence the pain experience, and utilizing psychophysical assessments to objectively measure pain sensitivity. In the future, Emily hopes to work in an academic medical center, practicing both as a research scientist and a clinical psychologist. In her free time, she loves to read, go on runs, and watch reality TV!
