2023

  • Steven Ingersoll was recognized as the Outstanding Chemistry M.S. Graduate Student.
  • Steven Ingersoll was also named the Outstanding CLAS M.S. Graduate Student.
  • Dr. Ren received the CU Denver Research Grand Challenges Round 2 Award, leading a multidisciplinary team to address societal issues in the epigenetic field.

2022

  • Dr. Ren was named CU Denver Lynx Lecturer.
  • Dr. Ren won the CU Denver Research Grand Challenges Round 1 Award, leading a multidisciplinary team to address societal challenges in epigenetics.

2021

  • Our Journal of Biological Chemistry (JBC) paper was selected as one of the “Significant Papers from 100+ Years of JBC” (46 papers total), an honor shared with papers linked to Nobel Prizes.
  • The Ren lab received the CU Denver “Perseverance Award” for Pandemic Research and Creative Activities.
  • Kyle Brown was recognized as the Outstanding Chemistry M.S. Graduate Student.

2020

  • Dr. Ren received the CU Denver Campus-wide Award for Research and Creative Activities.
  • Dr. Ren was honored with the CU Denver CLAS Excellence in Research and Creative Activities Award.

2019

  • R01 GM135286 was funded by NIH/NIGMS, with Dr. Ren as Principal Investigator (PI).
  • Our JBC paper was designated as “Paper of the Week” in Journal of Biological Chemistry.

2017

  • Thao Huynh was recognized as the Outstanding Chemistry Undergraduate Student.

2016

  • Dr. Ren received the CU Denver CLAS Excellence in Research and Creative Activities Award.
  • NIH/NIAMS funded 1R01AR070299-01A1, with Dr. Ren as co-Investigator (co-I), contributing one summer month annually.
  • NIH/NCI funded R03CA191443, with Dr. Ren as PI.

2015

  • Dr. Ren was nominated by CU Denver (Downtown and Anschutz campuses) for the Pew Scholars Program.
  • Roubina Tatavosian was recognized as the Outstanding CLAS M.S. Graduate Student.
  • Our JBC paper was designated “Paper of the Week” and honored as part of “The Year in JBC 2015” for advancing the field.
