Ms. Imogene Bacote was born on January 31, 1950 in Chester, South Carolina. She moved to Revolution Park with her husband, Robert Bacote, in the summer of 1972. The couple has lived in the same house in the neighborhood ever since. They have four daughters and are currently members of the neighborhood association. Ms. Bacote’s story is important to the history of Revolution Park because she experienced some of the early racism of the white members in the community when she and her husband moved there. In her interview, she recalls much of the neighborhood’s change over time.
