Cuffee, Marvin

Reverend Marvin Cuffee, originally from Norfolk, Virginia moved to Charlotte in 1995. He bought his current home in Revolution Park in 1997. When the pool was closed, he was president of the Neighborhood Association and helped lead the fight against these efforts. In his interview he recalls festivals and events unique to the Revolution Park Neighborhood. Rev. Cuffee’s interview is significant, because it highlights much of the change over time regarding the pool, recreational facilities, crime, and businesses. A former United States Marine and current pastor of a local church, he currently resides in the neighborhood with his wife and two children.
