Ratcliffe, Del

Mr. Del Ratcliffe has a close and personal history with golf courses in Charlotte, NC. He was born and practically raised on them since his father built and managed the Paradise Valley 9-hole golf course for 10 years, which he leased later in 1970. When Mr. Ratcliffe graduated from Northwest Christian Academy in 1977, he became the manager in 1980. Since then, he has been managing and maintaining golf courses for years.

Owner of Ratcliffe Golf Services, Inc., he acquired Revolution Park in April 2008 through an agreement with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Parks and Recreation Department. Mr. Ratcliffe is also the President of Ratcliffe Construction Services, Inc., which include the renovation and reconstruction of commercial and residential buildings. This includes the Revolution Park golf course, which closed for renovations in November 2008 and reopens the summer of 2010.

Mr. Ratcliffe provides an indepth focus on the historical and economical background of the Revolution Park golf course, the importance of the golf course to the community during the 1950s, and how it is still important to the community today.
