Basic physical principles, meteorological terminology, societal impacts, weather analysis and career options within the field of meteorology are explored.<\/p>\n<p>_______________________________________________________<\/p>\n<p><strong>Meteorology 3140 &#8211; Fundamentals of Meteorology\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/pages.charlotte.edu\/terryshirley\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2011\/07\/wxmap.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/pages.charlotte.edu\/terryshirley\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2011\/07\/wxmap-150x150.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"148\" height=\"148\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Prerequisite: ESCI 1101\/1101L, or permission of instructor. Fundamental physical principles of weather and climate. Analysis of short and long term atmospheric behavior are introduced.
