Dr. Laura Gonzales is an Assistant Professor of Digital Writing and Cultural Rhetorics at the University of Florida. Her book Sites of Translation: What Multilingual Students Can Teach US About Digital Writing and Rhetoric, published with the University of Michigan Press as both a digitally-born webtext and a print book, speaks directly to language diversity and technology design in rhetoric and composition and technical communication.
Dr. Gonzales’s scholarship on culturally-sustaining and collaborative interdisciplinary research and digital making has appeared in Technical Communication Quarterly, College Composition and Communication, The Journal of Usability Studies, Connexions International Professional Communication Journal, Technical Communication, and Kairos: A Journal of Rhetoric, Technology, and Pedagogy, among others. She was recently named a Fulbright Specialist for 2018 – 2020.
