Peer Leader-Educators Advocating for Sexuality Education (PLEASE) Program
For events and updates: Upcoming events!
This pilot program is designed to encourage sexuality dialogues and safer sexual health practices at CHHS.
By creating a safer sex station with condoms and lubricant, we hope to provide students with the tools to advocate for safer sex practices. The safer sex station is located on the 2nd floor in the student lounge (near the elevators on the Atkins library side of the CHHS building).
By training undergraduate and graduate peer leader-educators, we hope to provide accurate information and encourage safer sex practices amongst the student body. Peer leader-educators are trained in:
- Gender and sexual identity (including LGBTQ)
- Contraception and condoms
- Sexually transmitted infections and HIV
- Healthy relationships
- Consent and sexual assault
- Anatomy/physiology and pregnancy
- Community resources and online information sources
We started in 2017, training 12-15 peer leader-educators each year. We will conduct climate evaluations of CHHS to measure impacts.
