Adobe Illustrator is a vector graphics editor developed and marketed by Adobe Systems.  Vector graphics is a technology that allows objects to be infinitely scalable to either very large or very tiny sizes without degradation in quality.  Often when an image is expanded to a large size the image distorts with rough squares and sharp edges, known as pixels.  This is a raster image which is based with a particular size in mind.  Vector images are based on geometry and relative location and angles, so its proportions can be scaled in any direction without pixelation or distortion.  Illustrator also includes 3-dimensional capabilities allowing users to extrude or revolve shapes to create simple 3D objects.

Adobe Illustrator CS6 is being replaced with Adobe Illustrator CC.

iMovie is a video editing application created by Apple that allows a user to record, create, and edit their own movie footage. This application is made for Mac OS devices and is available for free in the Apple App Store (using OS 10.9 Mavericks or higher).  A limited feature version is also available for iOS mobile devices.

While not as feature rich or powerful as Finalcut Pro or Adobe Premier, iMovie can handle most amateur video editing needs.   It includes a multitrack timeline and the ability to layer audio and video samples, add effects between them, enhance or adjust the quality of audio and video samples, add title slides and text, and even a basic green screen feature.  Stock themes are included to quickly dress up your movie based on a particular purpose, though most of these are geared toward home use.
