While located in Criminal Justice and Criminology the Center’s reach and focus extends throughout the university. The Center works with and facilitates China related activities for faculty members from a variety of campus departments outside of Criminal Justice and includes Communications, Economics, Engineering, English, Foreign Languages, History, International Studies, Political Science, Public Administration and Sociology.
A Center goal is to facilitate the exchange of scientific information and expertise between research scholars, academicians and practitioners. The Center is linked with a number of universities and Centers in China to offer a wide range of opportunities for faculty and students with interests of common concern for both the United States and China.
The Center is designed to focus on long and short-term training and education experiences in both countries.
