The Computational and Applied Mathematics Seminar is organized by the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at UNC Charlotte. The seminar meets on Friday afternoons and features talks across applied and computational mathematics.
Topics include numerical analysis, scientific computing, partial differential equations, inverse problems, optimization, control theory, machine learning, data-driven modeling, uncertainty quantification, stochastic processes, mathematical biology, fluid dynamics, imaging, signal processing, mathematical finance, and applications in science, engineering, and industry.
The seminar provides a forum for faculty, postdoctoral researchers, graduate students, visitors, and collaborators to share recent research, discuss emerging directions, and build connections across mathematical theory, computation, and applications.
Talks may be held either in person or online, depending on the speaker’s availability and the format of each meeting. All are welcome to attend. If you are interested in giving a talk, please contact us.
