Dr. Al Ghosh joined University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2019. Prior to joining UNC, he was a Professor of Accountancy at the Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College. In 2016, Dr. Ghosh was awarded the Fulbright Distinguished Chair by the U.S. State Department and Fulbright Finland. He has also served as an Academic Fellow at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and as a visiting research scholar at Aalto University (Finland), AUP (Paris, France), Bocconi University (Italy), Columbia University, Emory University, Hanken (Finland), IIM (Bangalore, India), ISB (India), NJIT, Monash University (Australia), SWUFE (China), Tulane University, UST (Hong Kong), Victoria University (Wellington, New Zealand), and Yonsei University (South Korea).
Dr. Ghosh has publications in the leading accounting and finance journals. He serves as an advisor to several financial institutions on accounting, auditing, and finance matters. Dr. Ghosh is an independent trustee and an audit committee chair of a SEC registered mutual fund.
