Dr. David Reppenhagen joined the Belk College faculty from Michigan State University, where he was most recently a Fixed Term Assistant Professor teaching advanced auditing and accounting information systems. Before his faculty appointment at Michigan State University, he spent eight years at the University of Florida, where he was the Luciano Prida, Sr. Term Assistant Professor and mainly taught accounting information systems. His research interests are in accounting choice, accounting history and accounting norms. He has published in some of the top accounting research journals. He received his Ph.D. in Business (with a concentration in Accounting) from Emory University. Prior to his academic career, he worked in public accounting for four years with Ernst & Young, where he worked in an advisory practice and an assurance practice performing a variety of engagements including data assurance and IT assurance. He received his Master of Accountancy degree (specializing in Systems) and Bachelor in Business Administration degree (majoring in Accounting) from the University of Georgia.
