Department of Mathematics and Statistics
University of North Carolina Charlotte

I am studying Inverse Problems with the primary aim of identifying objects that are completely obscured within inaccessible regions using data collected from a distance. This area of research requires interdisciplinary collaboration between mathematics, physics, and engineering. The practical applications of this field are vast and include detecting cancerous tumors in living tissues, searching for oil reserves beneath the ocean floor, non-destructive testing to detect cracks in products, nano-imaging of small cells, and security measures to locate explosive devices buried underground and save lives. My research focus involves developing efficient numerical methods that can provide reliable solutions to inverse problems without the need for a well-informed initial estimate.

Besides Inverse Problems, I am interested in the areas of nonlinear Partial Differential Equations.

I am a co-organizer of the Computational and applied Mathematics Seminar.
