Study Abroad Program

The best way to gain fluency in Japanese, to understand the culture, to experience a different lifestyle and to make Japanese friends is to STUDY ABROAD.

Why don’t you participate in the program and encounter its unique culture?

Over 100 students’ dreams have come true; over one half of these students received scholarships, and all have enjoyed their stay in Japan.

Next is YOUR turn!!!

  • We prefer that you study Japanese at UNCC at least three semesters before you go, i.e., JAPN 1201, 1202, and 2201.
  • Minimum Requirement of GPA: 2.8
  • Semesters in Japanese universities:
    • Spring: April to July
    • Fall: October to January
