Jacqueline Chattopadhyay is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
Her research considers the ways that actors inside and outside of government influence policies relevant to health and aging in the United States.
She teaches classes for UNC Charlotte’s doctoral program in Public Policy, Gerald G. Fox Master of Public Administration Program, and undergraduate Political Science program. She is also a faculty affiliate of UNC Charlotte’s Gerontology Program and part of UNC Charlotte’s Honors Faculty. As of July 2024, she also serves as Undergraduate Coordinator and Associate Chair for the Department of Political Science and Public Administration.
She earned her Ph.D. in Government & Social Policy from Harvard University in 2012 and her B.A. (Political Science; Economics) from the University of California, Irvine in 2005.
