Peer Leader-Educators Advocating for Sexuality Education

Applications for the 2018-2019 year will begin in August 2018 – check back on this site for the application!

UNCC’s College of Health and Human Services PLEASE Program is a sexual health peer education program. The PLEASE Program seeks to engage UNCC’s students in dialogues about sexuality and healthy relationships, and to promote safer sex behaviors. Students will be trained in sexuality topics and misconceptions, communication, advocacy, and basic evaluation. Both graduate and undergraduate students are invited to apply.

Responsibilities include: attending training and group meetings (must attend 80% of meetings if not previously discussed with the Coordinator), presenting at the Sexpo event, having dialogues with peers/friends, reporting on education activities, monitoring the condom/lubricant dispenser, and assisting with College climate evaluation.
Peer educators will receive a small stipend of $150 at the end of the academic year for completion of responsibilities.
