Dr. Lauren Wallace earned her DrPH in Public Health Management from the School of Public Health at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, with focus areas in social determinants of health and health care policy and management. Her MPH and MPA, also from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, focused on health care operations, management, and policy. Dr. Wallace’s expertise includes financial theory and practice, and the management of financial decisions in healthcare organizations. She is an experienced SAS programmer and data analyst, and has taught a variety of financial and management classes to undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students. In academic research, Dr. Wallace has studied social determinants of health extensively, and has published peer-reviewed research studies in maternal and child health and disaster preparedness.
