Welcome to the PHYS 2102, Physics for Science and Engineering, online course web site. You will find the course related information on your syllabus. Read the syllabus, which also provides you a tentative course schedule designed relative to your text book sections. I have recorded the lectures, as I normally give a live lecture in the class room. You will able see the image on your browser and hear my voice as if you will be watching over a large screen in the class room. Once the Quick Time movie file is fully downloaded to your computer, you will able to pause, move the movie forward or backward as you wish. My lectures will not replace your textbook, except they will complement your text book and the text book will complement my lectures. As in the normal live lecture class you have to read your textbook in detail. The pace of my lectures are such that they will give you enough time to take notes, listen and watch. Again you can set up the pace also by pausing the movie when you need to catch up. Always read associated sections in your text book first and then watch and listen the related topics from my lectures. Take notes as you were in the class room. This will help you to understand the concept. As an advantage of online class, you will able to repeat the lectures as many times as you would like, until you feel that you understand the concept or the example. I will work on many examples similar to your text book and also solve some problems from your text book as examples.
