Current Projects:
My current project furthers my research into Indigenous peoples’ socio-political responses to internal colonization in the United States, Russia, and Sweden in the late nineteenth-early twentieth centuries. In particular, this current comparison project examines the development of the Society of American Indians and the Sámi Landsmöte between 1905 and 1925. This is an extension of my earlier research for my book, ‘The Touch of Civilization’: Comparing American and Russian Internal Colonization, published by the University Press of Colorado in April 2017.
