Photos is a photo editing and management computer program developed by Apple Inc. for the OS X operating system. This application replaces the discontinued products Aperture and iPhoto. In April 2015, Photos was released as a bundled app to OS X Yosemite users in OS X 10.10.3.

Features of Photos include powerful image editing tools that are considered more robust than those previously available in iPhoto. Users can access their Mac photo and video library from all their devices through the iCloud Photo Library. Photos can be organized by Moments, Collections, and Years. Users can also share their photos on Facebook, Twitter, iCloud Photo Sharing, and AirDrop.

FileMaker Pro is a cross-platform relational database application from FileMaker Inc, a subsidiary of Apple Inc. It integrates a database engine with a GUI-based interface, allowing users to modify the database by dragging new elements into layouts, screens, or forms. Current versions are: FileMaker Pro 13, FileMaker Pro Advanced 13, FileMaker Server 13, and FileMaker Go 13 for iPhone and iPad.

Since 1992 Filemaker Pro has been available for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS, and can be used in a cross-platform environment. FileMaker server briefly ran on Linux, but Linux support was abandoned with FileMaker 7, and the server currently runs only on Windows or OS X servers. It is available in desktop, server, iOS and web-delivery configurations.

Aperture is a photo editing and management computer program developed by Apple Inc. for the OS X operating system, first released in 2005, and currently available in its App Store. The software handles a number of tasks common in post-production work such as importing and organizing image files, applying corrective adjustments, displaying slideshows, and printing photographs.

Features of Aperture include non-destructive editing, organization of photographs by keyword, faces (using face detection and recognition), and places (using GPS metadata embedded in image files), brushes for applying effects (such as dodge and burn, skin smoothing, and polarization), and exporting to several popular websites, including Flickr, Facebook, SmugMug, and Apple’s iCloud. The program has been widely reviewed by independent parties.

Apple discontinued listing Aperture in the Mac App Store on April 8, 2015. Aperture is being replaced with Photos for OS X.
