Education:
Ph.D in Political Science, Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Research Interests:
My current research within the field of international political economy focuses on the conditions under which governments choose (1) to shift their international capital control policies toward liberalization and (2) to alter their trade policies based on demands of societal groups. My research on the European Union has focused on the determinants of citizen support for EU institutions, the causes and consequences of EU enlargement and individual and nation-level determinants of support among the European publics for Turkish membership.
