Profile:

Elena Platonova is an Associate Professor of Healthcare Management in the Department of Public Health at UNC Charlotte. She received her Ph.D. degree in health care strategic management and organizational behavior from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2005.

Dr. Platonova has been involved in research projects and publications focused on the inter-relationships among patient trust, patient satisfaction, and patient loyalty to primary care doctors. She is now involved in a number of research projects focused on patient assessment of provider communication in the context of patient-centered medical home (PCMH) in free clinics and how it is associated with patient outcomes.
