Yvette M Huet
Dr. Huet is a Professor of Kinesiology, the Director for the UNC Charlotte ADVANCE Faculty Affairs and Diversity Office and the UNC Charlotte Principal Investigator on the NSF AGEP-NC Alliance grant. Dr. Huet earned her B.S. in Human Biology: Microbiology from the University of Kansas; her Ph.D. (with Honors) in physiology from the University of Kansas Medical Center; and had a Postdoctoral Fellowship with Monsanto Company in Missouri. Her honors include a National Science Foundation Minority Graduate Fellowship and a Ford Foundation Dissertation Fellowship for Minorities. Dr. Huet joined the faculty of the Department of Biology at UNC Charlotte in 1991 as an Assistant Professor and was promoted to Professor in 2005. In 2013, Dr. Huet moved to the Department of Kinesiology. She has served in many other leadership roles at UNC Charlotte, including as Coordinator, Faculty Development, College of Liberal Arts & Sciences and Interim Chair, Kinesiology.
