Clifton Scott
Bio
Cliff Scott’s research examines the relationships among formal and informal organizational communication processes, high reliability organizing, identity, and occupational safety. Much of his research focuses on how post incident discussion among first responders enables and constrains their capacity to learn from emergency incidents and continuously improve the safety and reliability of their operations. His research mainly appears in a variety of journals, including Communication Theory, Human Resource Management, Management Communication Quarterly, Human Relations, Journal of Applied Communication Research, Safety Science, and the American Journal of Health Behavior.
