Dr. Courtney Green is a Teaching Assistant Professor, lecturer and academic advisor for the Office of Student Success and Development in Williams States Lee College of Engineering at Charlotte. She teaches the introduction to engineering (ENGR 1201) and engineering technology and construction management (ETGR 1101) courses, and advises first-year engineering students. Along with teaching and advising, she is active in engineering education research related to broadening participation in engineering and academic success and persistence of engineering transfer students. Prior to joining Charlotte, she worked as a project engineer at SKA Consulting Engineers, Inc., in the Building Solutions Group. She performed forensic investigations to determine the condition of building systems and components, prepared remedial designs, and led construction administration.
She obtained a Ph.D. in Educational Research, Measurement, and Evaluation in 2022 and M.S. in Engineering with a structural engineering concentration in 2008 from Charlotte. In addition, she holds a B.S. in Mathematics at Marshall University in 2004.
