The Integrated Network for Social Sustainability is launching our first Charlotte seminar series!

Each month leading up to our June conference we will be partnering with local organizations to discuss different topics relating to sustainability.

February
Our first event will hosted with Sustain Charlotte at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21 at Resident Culture Brewing in Charlotte. Our first topic focuses on “What is Smart Growth” with speakers Dr. Douglas Shoemaker and Taiwo Jaiyeoba.

March
Our event for March will have the theme “Greenways People and Urban Ecosystems” on Thursday, March 29 at 7 p.m. in EPIC 2222. Our speakers will be Sara Gagné and Rick Winiker.

April
Our event for this month will be the Charlotte Food Policy Summit on April 28 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with the location TBD. INSS will be one of the sponsors, along with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Food Policy Council.

June
Our conference will be June 6-8.
