Dr. Jill Yavorsky is an Associate Professor in the Sociology Department and Organizational Science program at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte. I teach both undergraduate courses focused on work, labor markets, and organizations.

For full website and cv, see: https://www.jillyavorsky.com/

My research program explores workplace patterns, practices and outcomes. Specifically, I have ongoing projects that examine family and work dynamics of successful couples; mechanisms and patterns of occupational segregation, and; divisions of labor of new parents.

My research has been published in a variety of outlets, including top sociology journals like American Sociological Review, Social Forces, and Journal of Marriage and Family and has garnered widespread media attention, appearing in New York Times, TIME, U.S. News and World Report, Newsweek, Slate, Chicago Tribune, etc.  In addition to publishing and teaching, I also enjoy consulting with firms on diversity and inclusion.
